Plot
"1983" is a Malayalam drama set against the backdrop of a Brahmamangalam village. The story unfolds from the year of 1983. The children and the villagers rejoice at India's victory during the World Cup. Rameshan (Nivin Pauly) is a star batsman in his group of die-hard cricket fans. They grow up with cricket in their hearts. Rameshan's father runs a mechanic shop and is against his son's love for cricket. His love Manjula (Nikki Galrani) is very good in studies and joins another college for higher education. Rameshan joins his father in running an electrical workshop and lives a modest life. His love for the game continues in parallel.
